WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Washington County Sheriff's officials say they received a phone call early Wednesday morning, May 23rd, just before 7:00 a.m. from a citizen who reported seeing an animal which he believed to be a mountain lion or cougar.
The man was walking his dog in the Ridge Run County Park, near 300 University Dr. in West Bend.
The man described the animal as the size of a labrador retriever with a long, rope-like tail and tan in color. The man said the animal walked across the trail, 100 feet in front of him.
Department of Natural Resources officials responded to the park, along with sheriff's officials. They were unable to locate any signs of the animal.
