Man walking through neighborhood hears gunshots, realizes he's hit

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that happened near Buffum and North Ave. shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 3rd.

Officials say a 48-year-old Milwaukee man reports he was walking in the area when he heard the sound of gunshots and realized he had been shot. The victim drove himself to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating a motive in this case -- and seek suspects.
