Marquette officials alert students after armed robbery Sunday

MILWAUKEE -- Marquette University officials alerted students Sunday evening, June 10th after an armed robbery occurred in the 2000 block of W. Michigan Ave. shortly after 5:00 p.m.

Officials say a Marquette University student was standing outside her vehicle when she was approached by two black men between the ages of 25 and 30. One subject presented a black handgun, and demanded and obtained the student’s wallet and cellphone, before stealing her vehicle.

The vehicle is a 2006 black four-door Nissan Sentra (WI plate 291-RBF). 

Officials say the armed subject fled westbound from the area in the victim's vehicle. The second subject fled on foot, running northbound through the alley behind 2028 W. Michigan Street.

The victim was not physically injured.

The descriptions of the subjects are as follows:

      Department of Public Safety and the Milwaukee Police Department immediately reported to the scene and are investigating.
