MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was set to deliver his State of the City address on Monday morning, March 9th at Alverno College.
On Sunday, Mayor Barrett ran through his speech and gave FOX6 News a preview. He says he'll cover a wide range of topics -- from gun violence to the new Milwaukee Bucks arena. He says one of his priorities will be to talk about what's going on in Milwaukee's neighborhoods.
"We're going to talk about a couple of new initiatives and we know that there's a lot of work that has to be done in terms of public safety -- that we have to continue to work to improve the housing stock after the foreclosure crisis, but we're going to talk about some of the successes that we've achieved over the past year," Mayor Barrett said.
