Robinson was found dead Saturday, June 11th at the Midpoint Motel in Milwaukee, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office. Milwaukee police say the death happened between 6:00 p.m. and 8:40 p.m.

The medical examiner completed an autopsy on Monday, June 13th and found no trauma. The cause of death is pending further toxicology. The medical examiner's report also indicates Robinson was not on any medications.

According to the medical examiner, Robinson and another man checked into the hotel room at 9:00 a.m. -- renting the room for six hours. The other man was seen leaving the room around 6:00 p.m., but Robinson apparently never left the room. When hotel staff went to check on him, they found him dead.

Robinson's wife said she last spoke with her husband at 7:30 a.m. Saturday -- and said he was healthy and had no major medical problems.

The Chicago Bears released the following statement on the passing of Robinson:

“We are saddened to hear of the loss of Bryan Robinson.  He will be remembered for the determination and work ethic he displayed on the field over his six years in Chicago.  The Bears and our fans will always be indebted to him for his game-saving blocked field goal in Green Bay six days after Walter Payton’s passing.  Our prayers are with Bryan and his family.”

Robinson was involved in a memorable play in 1999 at Lambeau Field. He blocked a 28-yard field goal attempt in the final seconds to win the game.

Chris Kushman

Chris Kushman was a big fan of "Big Dog," as he was known.

"I'm just trying to put out a little something here; you know what I mean? In memory," Kushman said.

Kushman left balloons and a candle outside the Midpoint Motel on Monday.

"I wouldn`t even imagine what he was even in here doing or what he was in here for. It's sad, you know? Anytime anybody goes so young," Kushman said.

According to the medical examiner's report, Robinson was found unresponsive, lying face down on the bed in the motel room without his clothing on. Liquor was found on the floor, along with an empty bottle of "Jungle Juice Plus," which is a room fragrance that can also be used to create a "high."

Marissa Ballard said she didn't know the former NFL player, but said she knows the area where the motel is located and said it's not a good one.

"I mean, drugs, prostitution, all of that. It`s not a safe place at all," Ballard said.
