Medical Examiner: Grafton woman found dead in family van had BAC of .223

GRAFTON (WITI) -- Ozaukee County Sheriff's Officials say the cause of death for Mary Ann Schuerman has been determined.

70-year-old Schuerman was found dead in the family van by her husband in the Town of Grafton on Friday, February 27th. Officials say Schuerman and her husband had returned home Thursday evening from a night of celebrating her birthday.

Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials say an autopsy protocol report has been returned from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office. That report indicates Schuerman's cause of death was hypothermia due to acute ethyl alcohol intoxication.

Schuerman's blood alcohol level was .223, Sheriff's officials say.
