Meijer officials: Sussex supercenter set to open on June 7th

SUSSEX -- Meijer officials have announced the opening date for the new Meijer Supercenter in Sussex.

The store will open on June 7th.

It will be located at Executive Drive and Highway K.

The Meijer gas station on the property will open on May 12th.

This will be the fifth Meijer store in Wisconsin. Another is set to open this summer in Waukesha.

Store leadership is currently completing hiring for hourly positions.

Meijer plans to offer medical care at its Sussex and Waukesha stores.

In partnership with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, Meijer will open in-store clinics at the stores in Waukesha (801 East Sunset Drive, Waukesha, WI) and Sussex (N51W24953 Lisbon Road, Sussex, WI -- which opens on June 5th) later this year.

Those visiting the clinics can have minor health problems like colds, flu, sore throats and minor infections treated.

The clinics are staffed by the partnering healthcare provider or hospital systems’ physicians or physician assistants, and offer a variety of clinical and acute care services.
