MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department tell FOX6 News a small fire occurred on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus, near Cramer and Hampshire Street on Tuesday night, January 5th.
It happened shortly before 8:00 p.m.
Smoke was found on the first floor of the building affected.
According to the UWM website, that building is the UWM Engineering and Mathematical Sciences building.
The fire was extinguished with a five-gallon water fire extinguisher. Firefighters then had to spend some time ventilating the smoke out of the building.
A damage estimate hasn't been released -- but we're told this fire was very minor.
No injuries were reported.
