Milwaukee July 4th fireworks in parks postponed to Tuesday
MILWAUKEE - With thunderstorms and significant rain expected this evening, the City of Milwaukee fireworks in parks on July 4 have been postponed and rescheduled for Tuesday, July 5, a release said.
The safety of spectators and fireworks staff is the most important factor in the decision.
This comes after various cities in the area postponed their fireworks displays for similar reasons. Waukesha's fireworks were canceled early Monday morning. The City of Wauwatosa made a similar decision to postpone.
Fireworks were planned in the following parks:
City celebrations will be held at the following parks in 2022:
- Alcott Park
- Enderis Playfield
- Gordon ParkDue to ongoing construction along N. Humboldt Blvd., parking will be available at Riverside High School’s parking lot for the evening fireworks display at Gordon park.
