Blue Angels soar in Milwaukee Air & Water Show
The Milwaukee Air & Water Show and the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels officially took flight over Lake Michigan, the event returning Saturday, July 23.
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Air & Water Show and the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels officially took flight, the event returning Saturday, July 23.
It was the first time the Blue Angels hit the lakefront since 2017.
"I’m really emotional because my little brother is the captain of the Fat Albert plane," said Alyssa Feilmeier.

Feilmeier made the trip from Nebraska to watch her brother, Capt. Jackson Streiff, soar past her.
"I’m seeing him fly for the first time today, and I’m so dang proud of him, I can’t stop the tears," she said.
Once a Blue Angel, always a Blue Angel. Dwight Neeley knows there is more to flying than meets the eye.
"I’m getting goosebumps," Neeley, who flew from 1997-2000, said. "They're the heart of our fighting force in the United States."

The love for the Blue Angels starts at a young age.
"It’s definitely very nerve-racking, because seeing what they can do is really definitely very mind-blowing," said Fiona Over.
"The blue angels are probably the draw for me," John Over said.
"The first time I ever saw them was back in I think 1960 in high school, so that’s a long time," said Bill McGowan, a veteran.
Watching as the planes flew upside-down loops and soared over thousands of people, Feilmeier was in awe as her brother and the Blue Angels took off into the horizon.

- Parking Lots Open: 8 a.m.
- Gates Open: 9 a.m.
- Water Show: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Air Show: Noon – 4 p.m.
- Navy Blue Angels: 3 p.m.
NOTE: There are no exact-scheduled time slots for any performer. Event schedule is subject to change due to weather and mechanical availability of air & water craft.
