Court filings indicate the defendant stole more than $27,000 in cash in the eight instances in which he allegedly damaged a machine and took cash from it.

When questioned by police about the break-ins, the complaint says the defendant "admitted to breaking into the...machines to get cash in varying amounts." Walker told police "he did so to buy food and to help with moving." The complaint says the defendant "also admitted to other break-ins into machines" not charged in this latest criminal complaint.
