Milwaukee Business Journal: Mimma's Cafe on Brady St. shutting down

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Business Journal reports that the longstanding Italian restaurant, Mimma's Cafe, on Brady Street will soon be closing its doors.

The well-established dining spot in Milwaukee's east side neighborhood will close after nearly 28 years in business so its revered chef and owner Mimma Megna — also known as the "Mother of Brady Street" – can retire.

"At this stage of my life, it's time I take a break," said Megna. "I've been cooking almost going on 28 years come this January. It's time.”
