Milwaukee Christmas tree collection starts Thursday; what to know

When are trees collected?

Milwaukee's curbside Christmas tree collection begins on Thursday, Dec. 26. Curbside collection ends on Friday, Jan. 21.

The citywide DPW collection is a separate operation from the weekly garbage service. Snow and ice control can impact collection operations and add to any delays in service.

Christmas trees should be placed at the standard collection point in the alley or at the curb, the DPW said. Trees should be free of all decorations and should not be bagged.
