Milwaukee Co. Sheriff's unit nabs escaped inmate
MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Apprehension Unit nabbed escaped inmate Eric Lee Tuesday morning. Lee had not reported back to jail while out on his court-ordered Day Reporting Center privileges last Friday.
Detectives found Lee hiding in an attic in a Milwaukee home around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 27th.
Lee was convicted of burglary by Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Dennis Cimpl, who stayed a three-and-a-half year prison sentence, placing Lee on two years probation. He was ordered to serve six months at the county jail and to report to the court-run Day Reporting Center. Lee reported to jail on March 20, and fled from his work release program three days later.
Since Lee did not abide by the terms of his probation, he could now face serving the entire three-and-a-half year sentence in prison.
