Milwaukee cold weather death; 80-year-old died from 'probable hypothermia'

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating a possible hypothermia death in Milwaukee on Sunday, Jan. 19.
What we know:
The medical examiner’s office said an 80-year-old man was found outside near the intersection of 12th and Orchard. The medical examiner identified the man on Monday, Jan. 20 as John Siebold.
The man was found just before 7 a.m. and was pronounced dead shortly after. An initial investigation found the man on the sidewalk around 2 a.m. and may have been incapacitated due to the weather.

The weather overnight in Milwaukee included wind chills below zero.
The Milwaukee Health Department issued a Cold Weather Health Advisory for Milwaukee County just before 3 p.m. Sunday which goes into effect at 6 p.m. and is slated to end at noon Tuesday, Jan. 21.
