Milwaukee hit-and-run, child struck, tan SUV
A 4-year-old girl was critically injured in a Milwaukee hit-and-run Friday night near 3rd and Nash.
MILWAUKEE - A 4-year-old girl was critically injured in a Milwaukee hit-and-run Friday night, Sept. 1.
It happened near 3rd and Nash around 5:45 p.m. Police said the 4-year-old was crossing the street was she was hit, and the driver took off.

FOX6 News at the scene saw officers going door to door through the neighborhood, asking if anyone had surveillance video of the crash.

The girl was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Neighbors, like Wheeler, said they want the driver to be caught and the girl to be OK.

Police said they are searching for a tan SUV. Anyone with information is asked to call MPD at 414-935-7360; to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or use the P3 tips app.
The hit-and-run is at least the third in Milwaukee over the past week. An 11-year-old boy on his bike and a 52-year-old man on a scooter were both killed.
