Christmas tree set outside for pickup
MILWAUKEE - The City of Milwaukee Christmas will begin curbside Christmas tree collection on Dec. 26. The curbside collection ends on Jan. 31.
Christmas trees should be placed at the standard collection point in the alley or at the curb, be free of all decorations, and should not be bagged.
DPW crews will begin the citywide collection as a separate operation from the weekly garbage service.
All collected trees will be shredded and composted.
Snow and ice control can impact collection operations and add to any delays in service.
Residents are encouraged to utilize the Drop Off Centers during the sites’ regular open hours. They are a convenient way for residents to quickly dispose of trees that they may not want placed in front of their property. All trees received at the drop-off centers will also be composted.
