MILWAUKEE - A 23-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of causing a three-vehicle crash and killing a woman in Milwaukee back in November.
The accused is Derrick Wilson (not pictured) – and he faces the following criminal counts:
- Second-degree reckless homicide, habitual criminality repeater
- Knowingly operating a motor vehicle without a valid license - cause death, habitual criminality repeater
- Second-degree reckless injury, habitual criminality repeater
- Knowingly operating a motor vehicle without a valid license - cause great bodily harm, habitual criminality repeater

Case details
The crash happened near 35th and Brown on Nov. 25.
According to a criminal complaint, the three vehicles involved in the collision included a 2005 Honda Pilot, a 2005 Dodge Stratus and a 2022 Honda Civic. Each of the vehicles had substantial damage, rendering the vehicles inoperable.

A woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Milwaukee on Monday night, Nov. 25.
A 44-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a 32-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police said the driver of the Honda Pilot, later identified as Wilson, drove through a red light and struck the Honda Civic, which then careened into the Dodge Stratus.

Wilson was previously convicted in December 2023 for possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent. He was also released from custody on extended supervision on a sentence from Lincoln County on Nov. 19, six days prior to the fatal crash.
Per the complaint, Wilson told police he did not have a driver’s license. He also said he was on Department of Corrections supervision and that one of the conditions of his supervision was that he not drive without a valid license.
A warrant was issued for Wilson’s arrest on Monday, Dec. 16. He is facing more than 60 years in prison and up to $145,000 in fines.
