Milwaukee fatal shooting, 13th and Hope, 1 in custody

A Milwaukee man, 21 was killed in a shooting Tuesday, May 9 near 13th and Hope, and a second Milwaukee man, 47, was arrested.

It happened around 2:20 a.m. 

The medical examiner identified the victim as Herbert Thomas.

Some neighbors said they woke up to the sound of multiple gunshots. Others said they didn't know about the shooting until police started ringing doorbells in the dead of night.

Public records show the 47-year-old was booked on a recommended charge of first-degree intentional homicide.

Police spent time looking at a yellow taxi cab. The company did not comment Tuesday and told FOX6 to call back.

It's unclear what connection the cab may have had to the shooting.
