Flag football game fatal shooting, man charged
A Milwaukee man has been charged in connection to a fatal shooting at a youth flag football game. A 47-year-old man, identified as Raysean Barnes, later died at the hospital.
MILWAUKEE - New court documents say a fight led to a man being shot to death at a kid's flag football game, but prosecutors say the man who died wasn't even involved in the fight.
A criminal complaint says the victim was trying to help a child who was thirsty at the game.
He went to his car to get a water bottle, and never came back.

On Monday morning, Oct. 21, Gavino Avalos-Morales appeared in a Milwaukee County courtroom.

The 30-year-old is charged in the killing of Raysean Barnes at a youth flag football game on Oct. 12.
A criminal complaint says Barnes was at the game with a longtime family friend, to support a player.
A witness told police while watching warm-ups -- a child who Barnes was with said he was thirsty.
Barnes got up from the bleachers and walked to the car to get a water bottle.

On his way out of the stadium, prosecutors say Barnes had to walk on a ramp near a concession stand.
That’s where a fight between two groups – not involving Barnes -- played out.
Prosecutors say video surveillance shows two men leaving the bleacher area of the stadium, running past Barnes, and starting a fight with Avalos-Morales and another man.

Prosecutors say in the scuffle Avalos-Morales pulled out a gun, and for no apparent reason, pointed it at barnes.
The complaint says the 47-year-old father appeared to have his hands up in a surrender position right before he was shot.
Pieces of the homicide remain a mystery, but it’s clear the loss has left a hole in countless hearts.

For a third day in a row, Milwaukee police are looking for the person who shot and killed a man at a youth flag football game.
The Barnes family declined to talk with FOX6 today.
Avalos-morales will be in court later this month. His bond was set at $250,000.
