MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee police arrested a 66-year-old woman for allegedly running over and killing a man and driving off. It happened on Tuesday, Jan. 14 near 14th and North.

Police say Mamadou Bamba, 41, had an argument with the 66-year-old woman Tuesday morning. Investigators say the woman hit him with her vehicle and took off.

On Wednesday, Bamba's family is trying to make sense of the sudden death. Musa Konneh, a cousin, is speaking for the family.
"It’s tough because it was a surprise, you know, it was not something that we expected," Konneh said. "His mother is in total shock; a single mother."

While officers arrested the woman, Bamba's family is still looking for answers.
"He tried to do everything to save his life, right. He ran, he ran, he ran. So whatever happened, we don’t know," Konneh said. "Whatever the situation, there could be a better approach than taking his life."

Now the Bamba family is in the process of planning a funeral – and they want the person responsible for the death to pay.

Police say criminal charges for the woman arrested will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
