I-43 ramp death investigation
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a person on the Lapham Boulevard off-ramp on southbound I-43.
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a person found Friday morning on an I-43 ramp.
Officials said, around 8:30 a.m., a commuter reported to the Milwaukee County 911 Emergency Dispatch Center that they spotted a body on the southbound off-ramp at Lapham Boulevard. Responding sheriff's deputies confirmed the report.

The Milwaukee Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene in the event life-saving measures were possible.
On Monday, Feb. 26, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the person as 32-year-old Jennifer Gail Dimatteo.
According to the investigation report, she appears to have been struck by a vehicle, although the preliminary manner of death in the demographic report is listed as ‘undetermined.’

The investigator on scene noted blood coming from her nose and both ears, an obvious left ankle fracture, and abrasions with bruising to the right side of her body.
There were two shoes and a trail of vehicle debris leading up to her (north of the body), and more vehicle debris, including a side mirror, leading away from her (south of the body).
An autopsy will be performed while police work to locate and notify next of kin.
