Milwaukee police chase; 3 arrested, firearm, drugs recovered

Milwaukee police arrested three people and recovered a gun and drugs after a police chase on Saturday evening, Dec. 28. 

Officials say around 7 p.m. Saturday, Milwaukee officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a registration violation near 33rd and Cameron. The driver refused to stop and a police chase followed. 

During the pursuit, a person in the vehicle who had a firearm exited the vehicle and ran into a home near 24th and Fairmount. Officers eventually arrested a 22-year-old man and a firearm was recovered.

The police chase eventually ended when the suspect's vehicle became disabled near 61st and Appleton. The driver and occupant, a 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were arrested. Suspected illegal narcotics were recovered. 

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
