Milwaukee police investigate death of 6-month-old boy near 68th and Villard

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating the death of a 6-month-old boy near 68th and Villard on Wednesday, June 5. Police were called to the scene around 7:20 a.m.

According to police, the child was found unresponsive and life-saving measures were attempted by citizens and the Milwaukee Fire Department. Those efforts were unsuccessful and the child died on scene.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is ongoing. At this time foul play is not suspected.

Officials say an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
