Milwaukee Public Museum's "Granny" lights up the holiday whale tradition

MILWAUKEE -- A new twist this year to a holiday tradition at the Milwaukee Public Museum. This year, "Granny," from the Streets of Old Milwaukee, with the help of some kids, pulled the lever to turn on the lights on the whale!

The museum's 36-foot long humpback whale skeleton is adorned with a Santa hat and lit with more than 4,200 lights for the holidays.

Also this year, the first 500 visitors to the museum on Friday, got a chance to go through the new Streets of Old Milwaukee Courtyard. That exhibit reopens to everyone on Friday, December 11th.
