Red Arrow Park ice skating opens for season Friday; what to know
MILWAUKEE - In downtown Milwaukee, ice skating will open for the season at Red Arrow Park's Slice of Ice on Friday, Dec. 13.
Milwaukee County Parks said free skate rentals will be available from 4-6 p.m. on Friday to celebrate the opening.

Access to the rink is free for those who bring their own skates. Rentals are available at the warming house throughout the season:
- $8 for kids 17 and under
- $11 for adults
- $5 for pre-scheduled school/nonprofit groups
- $7 for ice skate sharpening
The parks department also said, thanks to the Milwaukee Admirals, skate helpers will once again be available to rent for $1 rental fee with a $5 refundable deposit or photo ID. For skaters with mobility impairments, ADA ice sleds are available at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis.

- December 24: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- December 25: 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- December 26 – 31: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- January 1: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
January and February:
- Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (skate rentals begin at 11:00 a.m.)
- Monday – Thursday: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (skate rentals begin at 2:00 p.m.)
- Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (skate rentals begin at 2:00 p.m.)
- Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (skate rentals begin at 11:00 a.m.)
