MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett invited residents, community advocates, and city leaders on Wednesday, April 3 to attend a family-friendly Lead-Safe Milwaukee Resource Fair. The fair is being held Wednesday and Thursday, April 4.

"I think people are aware that the city's Safe Lead program has faced significant hurdles over the past couple of years," Barrett said. "But I am very happy under the commissioner and Health Department employees, we have made improvements and corrections starting with the good news we received in February when HUD let us resume our lead abatement efforts."
