Milwaukee shootings Saturday; 14-year-old dead, 2 others wounded

Milwaukee police say three people were shot in three separate incidents on Saturday, Dec. 28. One of those struck by the gunfire, a 14-year-old, died from his injuries.

38th and Lisbon

Officials said an argument led to gunfire in the city's Washington Park neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 28. It happened near 38th and Lisbon around 3:20 p.m. Police said the 26-year-old victim went to a hospital for treatment.

What led to the argument and shooting remains under investigation, but MPD said it is looking for a known suspect.

N. Dr. William Finlayson (just north of Keefe)

Just before 7 p.m. Saturday, police learned of a shooting on N. Dr. William Finlayson Street just north of Keefe Avenue. A 22-year-old arrived at a hospital for treatment. Police are trying to sort out what led to the shooting – and do not have the shooter in custody.

21st and Concordia

Officers were dispatched to 21st and Concordia around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived on the scene, police found a 14-year-old was shot and wounded. The teen was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police say.  

On Sunday morning, Dec. 29, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that the 14-yuear-old died from his injuries.

Shooting at 21st and Concordia, Milwaukee

An 18-year-old was taken into custody for this crime. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
