Milwaukee New Year's Day shootings; 4 wounded
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee police are investigating different separate shootings that happened on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Four people were wounded as a result of the shootings.
Fond du Lac and Custer
A 49-year-old was shot and wounded around 12:10 a.m. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. No arrests have been made.
28th and Wisconsin
The shooting happened around 6:11 p.m. A 38-year-old victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
12th and Burleigh
Around 12:44 a.m., a 36-year-old was shot. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. A 32-year-old was taken into custody.
12th and Burleigh, Milwaukee
85th and Greenbrook Drive
A 31-year-old was shot and wounded around 2:20 a.m. in the area of 85th Street near Greenbrook Drive – which is just north of Brown Deer Road.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspect(s).
