Milwaukee shootings Thursday; 2 wounded

79th and Carmen, Milwaukee

Milwaukee police are investigating separate shootings that occurred on Thursday, Jan. 2.

27th and Fond du Lac

One person was wounded in a shooting around 3:37 a.m. Police say the suspect was in a vehicle when they fired shots at the victim’s vehicle, subsequently striking the victim. 

The victim, a 29-year-old, sustained a non-fatal injury and refused treatment. The shooting appears to be road rage-related, police say.

No arrests have been made. 

79th and Carmen

A 15-year-old was shot around 11:10 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspect(s).
