MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police Department responded to at least seven separate shootings Friday, June 17.
One person was shot and killed, and six others were wounded in the shootings. Two men also were killed, the nature of their deaths is still under investigation. Police are seeking unknown suspects.
36th and Brown
Around 6:20 a.m., a 38-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and killed. What led to the shooting is not yet known.
60th and Silver Spring
A 62-year-old Milwaukee man was walking when shots were fired and he was hit around 8:20 a.m. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.

12th and Hadley
Police said a 41-year-old Milwaukee man was driving when he was shot and hit around 12:15 p.m. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
24th and Burleigh
Just before 6 p.m., two victims – ages 14 and 17 – were shot and taken to the hospital. They are expected to survive, police said.
37th and Hadley
Two Milwaukee men, ages 18 and 20, were killed in a double homicide around 9:20 p.m., police said. The 18-year-old died at the scene, and the 20-year-old died at the hospital.
48th and Hampton
Around 10:30 p.m., an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was injured near 48th and Hampton.
24th and Nash
Just after 11:30 p.m. a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was shot and taken to the hospital. She is expected to survive.
MPD investigates
Friday's incidents followed a Thursday night shooting in which one person was killed and two were wounded near 16th and Burleigh.
