Milwaukee fatal shooting, 27th and Kilbourn

Milwaukee shootings Tuesday left one person dead and three others hurt, including a teenage boy.

Milwaukee shootings Tuesday, July 11 left one person dead and seven others hurt.

Two of the shootings happened within minutes of each other.

24th and Pierce

At 5:20 p.m., police said a 15-year-old boy was shot near 24th and Pierce. He showed up at the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

38th and Cherry

Minutes later, an 18-year-old man was shot near 38th and Cherry and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Unknown location

Around 6 p.m., a Milwaukee man, 22, showed up at the hospital with gunshot wounds. Police are looking into where this shooting occurred and what led to it.  

27th and Kilbourn

A Milwaukee man, 19, was fatally shot near 27th and Kilbourn around 7:30 p.m. Police said the victim ran to a business in the area for help after the shooting, but he died from his injuries. Investigators are looking into what led to the shooting. The medical examiner's office identified the victim as Jessie Chaney.

31st and Burnham

Around 8:50 p.m. a 19-year-old Milwaukee man was shot near 31st and Burnham. He showed up at the hospital with a non-fatal injury. 

Humboldt and North

Around 10:15 p.m., three men were shot near Humboldt and North. Two 20-year-old Milwaukee men and a 21-year-old Milwaukee man arrived at the hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. 

Shots fired

Police are also investigating a shots fired report that happened near 37th and Kilbourn around 4:45 p.m. Officials believed someone was shot and ran into an apartment building, but no victim was found.

A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested, and criminal charges are pending. A second person is wanted, as is the potential victim.

MPD investigates

No arrests have been made.
