Milwaukee Christmas Day shootings; 2 teens dead, child shot

Milwaukee police are investigating different shootings that occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 25, that left a child injured and two teenagers dead.

37th and Scott

A 15-year-old and 18-year-old were shot just before 11:30 a.m. Police said the 15-year-old was pronounced deceased on the scene and an 18-year-old died at the hospital.

"It’s terrifying, I mean it’s not something you see every day," said neighbor Ambur Marsh. "You heard like 15 gunshots and then a crash."

Neighbors said a car crashed into another car before ending up on someone’s porch.

"It was sad, you hear the parents crying for their kids and there’s nothing they can do about it, especially on Christmas," she said.

The 15-year-old’s mother identified her son as Exziel Rivera. She said he was in the car with two people he knew that morning.

While too upset to go on camera, she said her son loved basketball, video games, cooking and his family.

"It’s just sucky that people do stuff like that to such young kids," Marsh said. "It could have been me and my daughter if we didn’t make it inside in time. We could have been collateral damage for all we know."
