MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee opened its first compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station on the city's south side Friday afternoon, August 17th.
The CNG fueling station is located near 39th and Lincoln. This station offers competitive pricing and can be used by anyone with a CNG vehicle and a credit card. A similar station will be opening on Milwaukee's north side at 30th and Ruby.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was on hand for Friday's ribbon cutting of the first CNG refueling station. He was joined by other election officials.
Based on the price posted at the Milwaukee CNG site, you'll pay $1.98 a gallon for compressed natural gas.
