MILWAUKEE - A 57-year-old Milwaukee man has been charged in the case of a woman found shot and dead in a garbage can.
It's been roughly a month since police discovered 40-year-old Myeshia Moore shot and killed in Milwaukee. She was found in the alley behind Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, near 38th and Lloyd, on Monday, Dec. 2.
Johnny Williams is the man accused in the killing. Prosecutors say he admitted to wheeling a garbage cart carrying her body to the alley, but investigators say surveillance video shows he didn't do it alone.

For her loved ones, the past month was one without answers.

"I couldn’t believe it. And today – it’s still hard for me to believe," Moore's cousin Lakesha Runnels said. "I was shocked. Like, devastated. I feel better about the situation, you know, that someone was found."
Prosecutors say Williams did not identify who the other person was to investigators.
According to a criminal complaint, Williams intentionally caused her death, by shooting her multiple times in the back. Less than an hour after he left the cart in the alley, someone tried to light it on fire.
Court records show the 57-year-old is an ex-con with a significant criminal history in Wisconsin, including a felony drug charge and driving under the influence.
Police arrested him on Monday.
"She was a child of God, so God is good," Runnels said.

As for Moore's family, the question still remains why someone would do this.

"She was just, she was a good person," Runnels said. "Myeshia was loving, she was always happy and free-spirited. She would help anybody."
But their hope is this arrest will bring them one step closer to justice.
Williams was charged with first-degree intentional homicide, party to a crime and use of a dangerous weapon. He will make his initial court appearance on Friday morning, Jan. 10.
MPD said the investigation is still ongoing.
