MILWAUKEE - Molson Coors stepped outside the beverage industry Thursday, teaming up with the Milwaukee Parks Foundation to help the nonprofit with tech ideas.
From supply chain to marketing, teams used their differing expertise to present online campaigns and QR codes that can be used across 15,000 acres of parks.
"It's a lot like a ‘Shark Tank’ experience, a ‘Park Tank’ I like to call it for today," said Jonah Turner, Molson Coors' head of emerging tech. "They've put together a business challenge for us, and these teams have been working for the past six months to come up with great ideas. That are ultimately going to solve a business challenge by the Milwaukee Parks Foundation.

Turner hopes a lot of Thursday's ideas come to life.
"It's a great connection between nonprofit, our big organization, our employees coming up with innovative ideas to solve a challenge that's really going to be important for everyone who lives in the community here and takes advantage of the Milwaukee park system," he said.

While no one left with first-place bragging rights, everyone did leave with trophies.
"We aren't picking a winner today because all the ideas are fantastic," said Turner. "The Milwaukee Parks Foundation can take a little bit of everything and hopefully implement them and create new value for the organization."
This was the third installment of the Molson Coors Community Collab innovation showcase. In the past, Molson Coors has worked with Near West Side Partners and the Wisconsin Humane Society.
