MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. - Mount Pleasant police were called to the area of Newman Road near Shirley Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday, April 9 for the report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.
The caller reported the striking vehicle took off immediately after the crash.
Officers located the victim, 55, from Racine, who suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
An arrest was made Sunday, according to police. The suspected driver was identified as a Kenosha man, 23, expected to face charges of hit-and-run causing injury and reckless injury.
