Mount Pleasant, Racine police investigate series of burglaries: 5 in less than 2 months

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The Mount Pleasant Police Department is investigating a series of burglaries. On Tuesday, August 23rd, police said over the last month-and-a-half, they responded to reports of four different burglaries.

A fifth burglary was reported within the same area, off of Lathrop Avenue, but that investigation falls under the jurisdiction of the Racine Police Department.

Of the five burglaries reported, Mount Pleasant police said three of those occurred on Sunday,  August 21st in a small area of town.

The burglaries remain under investigation by the Mount Pleasant and Racine Police Departments.

No one is in custody at this time.
