Mukwonago, Whitewater 'hate speech' flyers show up in neighborhoods
MUKWONAGO, Wis. - People in a Mukwonago neighborhood recently received packages they did not order: weighed down flyers inside sandwich bags with "white power" messages.
Several people in the Orchards subdivision found them outside their driveways over the weekend. This comes just a few days after fake deportation flyers were found across Milwaukee.
People said this is the first time something like this has happened in their neighborhood.

"It's always upsetting to see that," said resident Rick Tell. "We have enough issues with politics and everything else and separating people and families and everything else and that doesn't help."
The Village of Mukwonago Police Department said this is an ongoing investigation. They do not believe any of the homes that received the flyer were specifically targeted.
"It's a festive time of year – to see this, it was supposed to be love, happiness, peace and to see this is just, you know, no need for that," resident Cathy Cottone said.
If anyone sees any suspicious activity, police encourage the public to report it immediately.

The Whitewater Police Department also said there has been a distribution of offensive/hate speech contained in plastic bags. The bags were left in various areas around the city on Friday night, Dec. 20.
Officers are collecting any bags found as they patrol.
