null - Do you think your house might be haunted? If so, you’re not alone, a recent survey found.
Some 60% of homeowners suspect their home might have a few unwanted visitors thanks to eerie things like unusual sounds and flickering lights, according to the survey by Angi (formerly Angie’s List), which helps people find local home service providers.
In fact, more than 65% of respondents said they’ve experienced "unexplained phenomena" in their homes. Seventy-seven percent of respondents reported hearing spooky sounds at home, such as unsettling noises in the walls (31%), creaky floors (30%), and flickering lights (26%).

Over half of homeowners in the survey said they think unexplained footsteps are the spookiest sounds one can hear at home, followed by 37% who would feel unsettled to hear a toilet flush when no one was around. Eerily, 13% of people in the survey said they indeed have heard a toilet flush while being home alone.
But fortunately, there are some non-supernatural reasons for this occurring – such as "ghost flushing," which can happen when there’s a leak in the toilet system, Angi said.
While some homebuyers are willing to put up with an outdated bathroom or creaking floors to save on the cost of a house, would you live in a haunted one? You may be surprised to learn that 58% of homeowners say they would consider it. So, don’t expect a haunted home to get you a good deal on a house!
Nearly 20% of survey respondents said they’re afraid of certain areas in their homes, like basements and attics, and nearly 60% of homeowners said they prefer not to be home alone.
For those who are trying to sell a house they believe to be haunted, the survey found that 58% of respondents said they’d consider buying it.
