Need help finding parking in Milwaukee? There will be an app for that!

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Finding that ever-elusive parking spot in Milwaukee may soon be easier!

The city is in the process of looking for a company to design and set up "Smart Parking Meters."

An online program would identify available parking spaces near you, and let you plug the meter through a smartphone app or message.

The program would then send you a message when your parking spot is about to expire -- so you can either pay for  more time, or head out to your vehicle.

The city hopes to have the system set up by mid-November.
