MADISON (AP) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie plans to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Tommy Thompson in Wisconsin later this month.
Thompson's campaign announced Monday, October 1st that Christie will appear with Thompson on Oct. 17th. More details, including where in the state the visit will be, were not announced.
Thompson calls Christie a "battle-tested reformer who knows how to make the tough decisions.''
Thompson faces Democrat Tammy Baldwin in the race for Wisconsin's open Senate seat. Both Baldwin and Thompson debated for the first time Friday night. Their next debate is scheduled for the day after the Christie visit in Wausau.
