New Lisbon homicides: Man accused, wanted in deaths of 3 people
NEW LISBON, Wis. - Authorities are searching for Virgil Thew – charged and wanted for three counts of first-degree intentional homicide – after three people were found dead in a New Lisbon home on Dec. 30.
Police said 33-year-old Elizabeth Kolba was found dead along with two girls, ages 12 and 13. A criminal complaint said all three were found shot during a search for the girls, who had been missing.

Police said there have been two confirmed sightings of Thew in the New Lisbon area. However, after extensive searches, he has not been found and is believed to be out of the area.
Thew, 47, is described as 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Law enforcement said anyone who sees him should call 911; do not confront or approach him.
