Newly-released documents detail Sebena death, interrogation
WAUWATOSA (WITI) -- A medical examiner's report and a 57-page transcript detailing the hours after Wauwatosa Police Officer Jennifer Sebena's death have been released.
The documents reveal an inside look into the interrogation room with Ben Sebena, as well as how Jennifer's colleagues discovered her.
The medical examiner's report shows Jennifer Sebena was found with "five gun shot wounds to her head and neck" and extensive "facial trauma." It also notes that her police issued "glock was missing from its holster."
The transcript from the interview with Ben Sebena, just hours after his wife's death, reveal discussions behind closed doors.
After a detective tells Ben Sebena "she was killed," he responds "Jen is the sweetest person in the world. I don't know. I'm sorry."
Ben Sebena continues, "She just shows love at all times."
Later in the interview, Ben Sebena told the detective "I have PTSD and other s*** from Iraq so just really try to calm down, you know."
At a hearing earlier this month it was revealed that Ben Sebena lifted a table, knocking it off its legs, during the emotional interview.
"He had his hands on his head and said 'she was helping me, she was always helping me. How could I do that?'" said Detective David Hoppe.
On June 26th, Ben Sebena pleaded guilty in the murder of his wife. He is scheduled to be sentenced August 9th.
