Nomad World Pub drinks 1,000 Pabst Blue Ribbons to give back to charity
MILWAUKEE -- Thirsty to help a good cause? Milwaukee's Nomad World Pub hosted an event called "Drink Beer for Charity!" on Saturday, February 27th.
The goal of Saturday's even was to drink 1,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon between Noon and 7:00 p.m.
There was a $5 cover charge and $2 cans of PBR -- all the proceeds went to benefiting the Milwaukee Simba Youth Soccer Club.

The idea for the charity event actually came from Columbus, Ohio.
"I think it started out with 1,000 Pabsts or 500 Pabsts with group of guys that just wanted to do it for themselves as a goal to do it -- and it started to turn into a charitable event. The Pabst people approached us and asked, 'Hey , do you think you could work that over at the Nomad?'" said Noman World Pub General Manager, Keanen Kopplin.
The pub didn't just have beer today, they also had free tacos from the BelAir Cantina and live music.
