FOX POINT (WITI) -- North Shore Fire/Rescue officials tell FOX6 News a 40-year-old Fox Point man was taken to Froedtert Hospital via Flight for Life following a one vehicle rollover crash in Fox Point on Tuesday afternoon, April 22nd.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. at Santa Monica and School Rd. in Fox Point.
The driver is said to have serious injuries.
Officials say the driver was heading northbound at a high rate of speed. The driver struck a tree, and his vehicle rolled.
The vehicle came to rest near Santa Monica Boulevard and School Road.
Officials say their preliminary indications are that the driver suffered some sort of medical issue that may have led to the crash.
After this incident, North Shore Fire/Rescue officials say an elderly woman was struck by a vehicle just north of the rollover accident scene.
This incident happened around 5:20 p.m.
That woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
There is no word at this time as to whether the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman was cited or arrested -- and there is no word on what caused this incident.
