OAK CREEK (WITI) -- Oak Creek police are investigating a shooting that took place at an apartment complex on Thursday, February 14th.
The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. on Thursday in the 500 block of East Towne Square Court.
A 21-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A 24-year-old Oak Creek man was taken into custody for discharging a firearm.
Police say this shooting occurred due to the negligent handling of a firearm.
The case has been forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for review.
