Oak Creek school bomb threat, police say no suspicious devices found
The Oak Creek Police Department received a call on Wednesday morning that a backpack with a bomb inside was left at the Oak Creek High School Ninth Grade Center.
OAK CREEK, Wis. - The Oak Creek Police Department received a call on Wednesday morning, March 16 that a backpack with a bomb inside was left at the Oak Creek High School Ninth Grade Center.
In coordination with the Oak Creek-Franklin School District and its safety plan, ninth grade students and Empower students were evacuated to the adjacent National Guard facility.
The neighboring school facilities, the 10-12 building, and Edgewood Elementary, were put in an administrative hold.

Oak Creek Police, with help from the Milwaukee Police Department Bomb Squad and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit, thoroughly searched the building. No suspicious devices or subjects were located.

When it was determined the building was safe, students returned to the Ninth Grade Center -- around 11:15 a.m.
