Court records show Thunder pleaded not guilty and was bound over for trial on Feb. 3.
It all happened on Jan. 18. According to a criminal complaint, a Milwaukee County sheriff's deputy was called about a wrong-way driver on I-94 between Rawson Avenue and Drexel Avenue.
The deputy found the SUV, which was at that point driving "off-road in the grass" near a church. Prosecutors said the deputy had his lights and sirens on and ordered the driver to pull over, but the driver instead drove down Drexel Avenue where officers surrounded her vehicle.
When the deputy approached the vehicle, court filings said he determined Thunder was the driver – and there was a 10-year-old child in the vehicle with her. The deputy noted the defendant "was generally not cooperative but was not intoxicated," according to the complaint.
