BROWN DEER -- An officer-involved shooting occurred near 60th and Donna in Brown Deer on Monday, March 14th.
It happened just before 5:00 p.m.
Brown Deer police say two officers were conducting a traffic enforcement detail near 60th and Wabash when an MCTS bus driver advised of an unruly person on board the bus.
As the officers attempted to remove the man from the bus, an altercation ensued.
Both officers were injured, and the man was shot. All three were taken to the hospital, where the officers were treated and released.
The suspect remained hospitalized Monday night.
The two Brown Deer police officers involved in this incident are on administrative leave.
Brendan Conway, a spokesman with MCTS issued this statement:
The Milwaukee Police Department is leading this investigation.
Steve Ramminger was home with his wife, who runs a home daycare, and said they heard a single gunshot.
"Kids were in the backyard and we heard one shot, and my wife says 'let`s go into the house,'" Ramminger said.
